Privacy Policy — Whiskly

Last updated: 8 November 2026

Whiskly ("the app") is a recipe box that lives entirely on your iPhone. It has no account, no server and no internet connection of its own.

What stays on your phone

The recipes you write, the moments you mark a dish as cooked, your shopping list and your preferences are kept in the app's private storage on your iPhone. None of it is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code that reports on you.

Screen on while cooking

Cook mode can keep your display awake so you can follow a step with floury hands. It is a switch on your device: it stores and sends nothing, and it ends when you leave cook mode.

Exporting recipes

If you choose to export, the app builds a CSV file on your iPhone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where the file goes next is up to you.

Mail and ratings

"Contact support" opens your mail app with a blank message to our support address; what you write is yours to send or discard. "Rate Whiskly" shows Apple's standard review prompt.

Erasing everything

"Reset all data" in Settings wipes every recipe, cooked entry and preference. Deleting the app does the same.

Children

The app gathers no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new text will appear in the app and on its policy page with a new date.
